Are you a hands-on and experienced, performance marketer looking for a new challenge? Come and join our dynamic, integrated agency in Sydney CBD.

Metropolis is a marketing consultancy for the property industry who treat our client’s business like they're our own. Due to business growth, we are looking for a Performance Manager to take ownership of complex, multi-channel performance campaigns and drive real impact as a trusted performance lead for key clients.

Working closely with our Performance Director, this is a great opportunity for a Performance Executive with 2–4 years’ paid media experience who’s ready to step up and take more ownership.

What a typical week looks like in the role of Performance Manager:

As the bridge between data and client, your week is a mix of campaign management, optimisation, reporting and client communication.

Day-to-day, you’ll be hands-on in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager monitoring campaign performance, managing budgets and pacing, and identifying opportunities to improve CPL, CPA, ROAS, and overall efficiency. A big part of the role is proactively testing, optimising, and scaling campaigns to drive stronger results over time.

You’ll also lead client WIPs, reporting conversations, and performance check-ins, turning campaign data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Alongside this, you’ll collaborate with the wider agency teams on integrated campaigns.

You should feel confident:

  • Independently managing campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including budgets, pacing, optimisation, and performance improvements.

  • Turning campaign data into clear insights, recommendations, and strategic direction that clients can easily understand and act on.

  • Leading client conversations and presenting autonomously to clients.

  • Managing multiple clients and priorities within a fast-paced agency environment.

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance and drive stronger results.

  • Working across reporting and analytics platforms such as GA4, Looker Studio, GTM, or Supermetrics to support campaign tracking, attribution, and reporting workflows.

  • Collaborating with the brand, creative, and broader performance teams on integrated campaigns.

  • Contributing to testing frameworks and performance best practices across the team.

You may still be developing:

  • Evolving your partnership from operator to strategic client advisor.

  • Broader strategic thinking across full-funnel digital performance and integrated media campaigns.

  • Confidence across advanced measurement, attribution, and reporting frameworks.

  • Contributing more broadly to performance best practices, team processes, and agency growth initiatives.

  • Experience across different industries, client types, and media channels.

  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members in the broader performance team.
