About the role
Reporting to the GM of Engineering & Innovation, the Principal Engineer will lead the design and delivery of scalable technology solutions while remaining hands-on with engineering and solution design. Working closely with architects, developers and business leaders, the role will drive technical excellence, mentorship and long-term platform strategy.

Duties/Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and implementation of enterprise technology solutions
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across engineering teams
- Drive engineering best practices including CI/CD, DevOps and automated testing
- Mentor engineers and support technical capability uplift across the business
- Partner with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and future-ready solutions
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience in senior engineering or technical leadership roles
- Strong hands-on experience with the .NET stack including C#, ASP.NET Core and Web APIs
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based environments
- Strong understanding of architecture principles and domain-driven design
- Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving capability with a strategic mindset
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline
