Merivale is looking for a Maintenance Plumber to join our Maintenance team on a full-time basis, working across some of Sydney’s most iconic hospitality venues, including ivy, Establishment and Coogee Pavilion. You will be part of a hands-on team supporting a fast-paced portfolio of restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels and event spaces. From day-to-day reactive repairs and fixture installs to contractor coordination and planned maintenance, this role offers plenty of variety across a unique hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Reporting into the Maintenance team, key responsibilities will include:
Complete day-to-day reactive repairs across plumbing fixtures and venue infrastructure. Install, replace and maintain plumbing fixtures across Merivale venues. Support planned maintenance works to ensure venues remain safe, compliant and operational. Troubleshoot plumbing issues quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Work closely with venue teams and internal stakeholders to manage priorities and minimise disruption. Coordinate contractors where required, ensuring works are completed safely and to standard. Manage materials, stock levels and orders required to complete works efficiently. Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and ensure all work is completed in line with requirements. Work collaboratively with other trades across the Maintenance department to support broader venue needs.
The Essentials
NSW Plumbing Licence or 5+ years’ experience in plumbing maintenance. Current NSW Driver’s Licence. Experience in plumbing maintenance, ideally across commercial or multi-site environments. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Broad knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail, time management and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with venue teams, contractors and internal stakeholders. Confident working independently as well as part of a broader team.
