Job Credit Analyst, The Rocks

Scene Finance is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our growing team in Sydney.

You’ll be responsible for assessing and reviewing loan applications, supporting brokers through the credit process and delivering exceptional service while maintaining strong compliance and risk management standards.

About the Role

• Assessing loan applications in line with credit policy and risk frameworks
• Reviewing and extracting information from financial documents including income statements, financials, trust deeds and identification documents
• Assessing creditworthiness, loan structures, and security suitability in line with NCCP, Responsible Lending, AML/CTF and internal risk standards
• Following up outstanding information with brokers and clients throughout the application process
• Communicating credit decisions clearly and professionally to brokers and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining regular contact with brokers to keep them informed of application progress
• Providing ongoing support and assistance to the broker network
• Managing a pipeline of applications and delivering timely, high quality decisions
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and detailed file notes
• Assisting with general administrative and operational tasks as required

About You

You’re a capable and detail-oriented finance professional with a strong understanding of lending and credit assessment, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional broker and client experiences. To be successful, you will need –

• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or related qualification preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within banking, finance, or lending
• Strong understanding of responsible lending obligations and compliance requirements
• Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within data
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a high-pressure environment
• A flexible and adaptable mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Valid Australian work rights at the time of application
