About the role:
- Work closely with a Partner & Head of the Sydney Office, as well as a Special Counsel.
- Act in a broad range of insurance matters, including coverage advice, coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and defending litigated claims.
- Assist in drafting pleadings, affidavits, advices, negotiating settlements, and preparing for mediations and trials.
- Liaise with external counsel, clients, brokers, and experts.
The ideal candidate:
- Have at least 3–7 years of experience in insurance law.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; capable of managing competing tasks.
- Excellent communication, client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
