At Norwest Private Hospital, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Allied Health team in a part-time permanent capacity for three (3) days a week.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to become the clinical lead across a range of acute wards to facilitate the assessment of equipment needs, functional assessments, cognitive assessments and service provision to facilitate patient safety and discharge within a multidisciplinary team.
As an Occupational Therapist in our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of acute conditions
- Undertaking individual sessions for inpatients
- Conducting risk assessment and safety planning
- Working collaboratively with other Allied Health clinicians and nursing staff
Essential Criteria
- Acute, clinical OT experience and expertise
- A commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Experience and expertise in delivering of a broad range of evidence based therapeutic approaches
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check (or the ability to acquire one)
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s pertaining to specific discipline/designation
- Registration with AHPRA
- Self-motivation and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning, collaborative team
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- A proactive, self-motivated and patient-focused approach
