About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Institutional Business Development Director to join our APAC team.

This role involves generating and closing high-value sales opportunities within Australia, focusing on institutional clients.

You will develop strategies to build a robust client base, identify new revenue sources, and ensure client alignment with OKX’s standards, while providing feedback to senior teams to enhance offerings and drive growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Identify and drive institutional sales opportunities in Australia. Build a healthy pipeline through sourcing and converting prospective opportunities, from consulting and educating to planning and advisory with institutional clients.
  • Develop client profiles by identifying previous success cases and replicating successful strategies, while guiding marketing efforts.
  • Define and evaluate new revenue streams and opportunities with both existing and new clients.
  • Close sales deals, focusing on high revenue and high impact transactions.
  • Ensure prospects or new clients are reputable and pose no risks to OKX, including financial, reputational, or regulatory risks.
  • Gather client feedback and identify gaps in service or product offerings, communicating these to senior management and product teams with suggested proposals.
What We Look For In You
  • Demonstrated high tenacity, grit, and determination.
  • Proven experience as a sales professional with a track record of building pipelines, developing opportunities, and closing deals.
  • Understanding of regional territory dynamics and building high-value sales pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of products offered to institutional clients, such as Block Trading, Derivatives (Perps/Futures/Options/Margin), and Cash OTC.
  • Previous experience in crypto sales, ideally on another exchange platform.
