About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is committed to the delivery of integrated Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Services. The primary purpose of the VAN Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Grade 3 is to provide statewide advanced clinical leadership and consultancy, research, education and service planning for sexual assault and domestic violence.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
- Completed or working towards completion of NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence Graduate Certificate in the Medical and Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault (or equivalent) and have completed at least three supervised medical and forensic consultations on a patient reporting recent sexual assault.
- Experience in leading and conducting research.
