About the Role
We are seeking a specialized Senior Business Analyst with experience in Guidewire Policy Center. This role involves working within a dynamic team of cross-functional consultants, including Digital Strategists, Digital Architects, and Agile Coaches. You will provide industry and client business perspectives to solve complex challenges. Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct direct user interviews and facilitate formal and informal sessions to gather detailed business requirements.
- System & Functional Specification Analysis: Analyze specifications to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Joint Application Design (JAD) Sessions: Facilitate sessions with business users and development teams to drive out detailed business requirements.
- Requirements Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation including user stories, use cases, process flows, data flows, and report mock-ups.
- Project Collaboration: Work with project collaborators during project definition to understand risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Solution Focus: Ensure proposed solutions improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and are consistent across products where possible.
This role offers the opportunity to work on engagements lasting between 8 weeks and 6 months, focusing on strategy, digital solution design, and implementation architecture.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience: Extensive experience in functional specifications for Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences verbally and in writing.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in the P&C domain.
- Agile Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile SCRUM methodology and business analysis documentation standards.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships within business units and support functions.
- Documentation: A track record of creating clear, concise work reflecting a deep understanding of business needs and software functionality.
- Negotiation & Presentation: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
