About Role

As Project Manager – Sportsfield Construction, you will be responsible for managing all phases of project delivery for our larger scale sportsfield and open space construction works. You will undertake planning and stakeholder coordination and oversee on-site execution and handover of completed works to clients. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and our internal teams you will ensure each project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

This role will work across various sites in Sydney and also wider NSW as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of sports field and open space construction and renovation projects.
• Develop and manage detailed project programs, resource plans, and budgets.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, subcontractors, and specialist services.
• Oversee on-site works, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and progress meetings.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and staff, maintaining strong communication and relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with industry best practices, WHS regulations, and company quality systems.

About You

With qualifications in Project Management, Civil Construction, Turf Management or similar you are either a seasoned project/site manager wanting to work with one of the leading landscape companies across Australia and New Zealand or you are ready to take the next step in your career and learn from the best in the business.

Your proven hands on experience and strong technical knowledge of sports field and open space construction methodologies, turf management practices, drainage/irrigation systems, earthworks and all of the associated equipment and machinery will give you a great base to build from and succeed in this role.

You excel at managing multiple projects and the competing priorities that a role working across multiple sites brings.

You pride yourself on being a collaborative leader with a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving ability. You are IT literate and are comfortable communicating with a wide range of people.

It is essential that you have a current driver’s licence and construction white card
