The role is a key part of the Network Technology Team who are continuously developing and delivering new networks/systems and customer products. The Network Delivery Team is responsible for the delivery of high quality, reliable and secured new networks, systems, and products. This role will be responsible for the implementation of the new trading platform as well as the customer access network Colocation - ASXNET.
What you’ll do:
Implement and delivery end-to-end mission critical low latency and resilient network solutions.
Collaborate with other network designers/SMEs to provide an integrated network solution.
Adapt the network solution to meet Business Unit requirements.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers.
Determine the most suitable hardware and software to be utilized.
Contribute to ASX documentation and knowledge base as required.
Collaborate with the organization’s management to identify the network needs of the company.
What you’ve done:
Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in network implementation as a Sen. Network Engineer specialized in delivery in the following environments:
Low latency networks
Enterprise and Data Centre networks
Security appliances (F5 Load Balancer, Firewalls, etc.)
Proven experience working in a mission critical environment (low latency networks), with proven success in delivering complex solutions with adherence to all change processes and project delivery methodologies.
Proven experience and familiarity with Arista Network hardware platforms and software applications like EOS, Metamux, Metawatch (FPGA architecture)
Familiarity with data centre facilities and available to be on-site as and when required to stage, test, commission equipment and oversee any system go-live events, as required.
Developed a deep understanding of core network technologies (BGP (eBGP and iBGP), OSPF, MPBGP, Multicast, MLAG, VLANs, ACLs, QoS etc.) and security technologies (Firewalling, Load Balancing).
Demonstrated expertise implementing and managing BGP, OSPF routing protocols.
Proven experience deploying and troubleshooting L2-3 Multicast network technologies.
Extensive knowledge of the main network and security vendors such as Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5.
Demonstrated ability to converse in depth with key SME’s and collaborate with other networks designers/ Architects to provide integrated network solutions.
Proven ability to effectively convey complex ideas with clarity, supported by strong verbal and written communication, influencing and presentation skills in managing a wide variety of project stakeholders including vendors, partners and suppliers. And if you’ve got some of this, even better: • Tertiary degree in computer science/engineering/telecommunications. • Vendor certifications CCIE, CCNP, CCAr, Arista, F5, Palo Alto etc. • Network monitoring Software (SolarWinds). • Experience with Arista’s Could Vision Telemetry Platform.
