Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager located in Sydney, NSW. This role will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain the quality of services for the 80+ apartment hotel operation. Moreover, it will be fully responsible for the Building Manager role of the wider "The York" property, a high end, CBD residential tower of 150+ apartments just 300 meters from Circular Quay. Operationally the role will lead budgeting, financial performance, sales, and marketing efforts, people management, as well as implementing policies and procedures to enhance hotel performance and body management performance.

Critical to the role is strong relationship skills, with the role liaising extensively with owners, investors, council, strata management and Swiss-Belhotel corporate interests. An upcoming major asset refurbishment program will require past large scale capital asset renovation experience.

This is a mature, professional role seeking a mature professional fit.

Qualifications

• Exceptional Relationship skills with proven experience working with a portfolio of owner, investor and hotel management stakeholders
• Strong Analytical Skills and expertise in Revenue Recognition
• Proficiency in Finance and Accounting
• Experience in Sales and Marketing
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse team and work in a multicultural environment
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field
• Previous experience in a hotel General Manager role with large scale refurbishment and complex project experience is mandatory.
• Previous Strata Management experience in New South Wales is significantly valued.
