Rate: $30-$35 per hour + Super
Start Date: ASAP - Ideally mid to late July
Duration: Minimum 6 months, likely to extend
Visa Requirements: Preferably not on a Working Holiday Visa; candidates on the path to citizenship or with full working rights are welcome
About the Role
This is a hands-on receptionist position supporting a busy office environment within the engineering testing industry. The office is a working site, and the role requires a proactive, flexible team player who is willing to assist wherever needed. The receptionist will report directly to the Facilities Manager, who starts at 7am daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Front desk duties: greeting visitors and managing access control
- Security monitoring and support
- Courier and delivery management (including handling large deliveries like pallets)
- Responding to buzzer calls and assisting with site access
- General office support and floating between tasks as needed
- Occasional coverage at the Barangaroo site (reception or meeting room floor)
- Assisting with office setup and office management
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm (some flexibility available)
- Reliable and proactive team player
- Reception and Office Support experience
- Comfortable in an industrial office site
- Hands-on and willing to assist with physical tasks
