Description of the job
THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a well-known global financial services organisation with a workforce of approximately 10,000 employees. Renowned for their deeply embedded values and strong commitment to internal growth and career progression, they offer a supportive and high-performing environment. With a well-established HR and ER function, they are now seeking a motivated and capable individual to join their expanding Policy, Governance, and Compliance team to support across pay compliance and remediation.
THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Employee Relation Lead, you will work collaboratively in a team to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews of payroll records, payslips, and time and attendance data to support payroll compliance efforts.
- Take ownership of ER policy updates, driving continuous improvement and partnering with PP&R content owners to ensure all documents remain current and compliant.
- Play a key role in shaping and embedding governance frameworks that uphold compliance with legislative requirements, enterprise agreements, employment terms, and internal policies.
- Oversee and coordinate compliance initiatives tied to the organisation’s legal and policy obligations.
- Assist in rolling out changes linked to updated employment agreements, legislation, or internal policy shifts.
- Help build robust reporting tools and support the ER Advisory team in mapping and standardising employee relations processes across both Australia and New Zealand
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong experience in employee relations, payroll compliance, and policy governance. You’ll be comfortable working with data and Excel to support remediation projects and have a sharp analytical mindset. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, particularly when translating complex industrial instruments into clear guidance for employees and managers. You’ll be polished, adaptable, and confident navigating a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
